Would you like the Spirit of glory and of God to rest on you? The path might surprise you. According to Peter, it comes via persecution. The church in the West (not worldwide) has lived through some very mild times when it comes to persecution, but Jesus and those He inspired to write the Bible are clear: we shouldn’t be surprised; indeed, we should expect persecution as part of the normal Christian life. This sermon is about resetting our expectations and discerning how to respond.
